Smart Health Scan:

(includes Calcium Score of coronary arteries and CT Body Scan)

Study includes:
A. CT Chest
B. CT Abdomen
C. CT Pelvis

Detects:

The Smart Health scan can detect many hidden diseases beyond coronary artery disease, including lung cancer, kidney tumors, liver tumors and abnormalities of the prostate, ovary, uterus, adrenal gland, spleen and gallbladder. Abnormalities in the back, including disc disease and bony abnormalities, can be identified as well. This scan also detects calcium in the coronary arteries and evaluates risk for heart disease. The Smart Health scan creates multiple high-resolution, cross-sectional images that allow for 3-D reconstructions of the entire body.

Preparation:

  1. Contrast (recommended)—no food or drink 6 hours prior to procedure.
  2. Creatinine-If you are over 55 years of age, a current creatinine level also needs to be obtained. Smart Heart and Health will assess your creatinine level as part of your scan if your current information is not available. Please arrive 1 hour prior to scheduled exam.
